Application
Traf-Sys People Counting Wireless Infrared Beams are ideal for environments where you are unable to reach a power outlet and need a simple to install solution. They can be installed in minutes and require very little training or expertise to install.
Front-Firing Beams for wall
mounted installation.
Placement and Installation
Traf-Sys People Counting Wireless Infrared Beams are installed in entrances up to 30 feet wide and 36 to 52 inches from the ground. The beams should be installed in an area where the path of the beams is not likely to be obstructed by doors, reflective surfaces or other objects. When the beams are blocked by objects, they are unable to count. So, it is important to make sure the area where the beams will be installed is free from obstacles. Reflective surfaces such as glass and mirrors may cause interference with the infrared detection pattern. So, it is recommended to mount your infrared beams away from such surfaces.
Side-Firing Beams for door
frame installation.
There are two types of Infrared Beams available, Front-Firing and Side-Firing. The type of beam you use depends on the environment in which it will be installed and the surfaces available for mounting. Front-Firing beams are typically installed within a door frame or on the walls of a corridor (see image). Side-Firing beams are typically installed on the wall inside a doorway (see image).
