Thermal Sensor

Customer Counting Systems

Description

Traf-Sys Thermal People Counting sensors collect accurate foot traffic data in entrance applications. The Thermal People Counter customer tracking solution detects people by monitoring body heat, and is unaffected by lighting or other environmental conditions.

Features of Thermal Customer Counting Systems

  • Realize the true profit potential of your operation with accurate traffic statistics
  • WIRELESSLY transmits data to the Traf-Sys MIU-1000 Data Controller, or through a cable to the MIU-40
  • Thermal Imaging people counter Technology is proven to be the most accurate in the world for people counting
  • Sensors can be networked together for wide openings with NO loss in accuracy
  • Detection patterns can be customized to any entrance
  • Microprocessor offers constant auto-adaptation to changes in the environment
  • Sensor is compact for low visual impact
  • The Thermal Sensor traffic counters feature "Auto Alert", a self monitoring system capable of indicating equipment problems

Thermal Customer Counting Systems - Application

Traf-Sys Thermal People Counting sensors are ideal for an installation where accuracy is most important. Each door counter sensor can be tailored to the entrance and environment in which it is installed. Multiple door counter sensors can be networked together to cover wider entrances. This enables the sensors to "talk" to each other and make decisions on what to count when someone passes between two sensors.

Since Traf-Sys Thermal People Counting sensors use heat to detect people traffic, they are unaffected by ambient lighting conditions and will work in environments where a normal video camera may not, which makes this a great customer tracking solution.

Thermal Traffic Counters - Placement and Installation

Traf-Sys Thermal People Counting sensors are best installed in environments where an overhead mounting height of 11.5 feet can be accommodated. We also offer Thermal People Counters with lenses designed for higher mounting environments. The 40° Thermal Sensor customer tracking systems can be mounted as high as 20 feet and the 20° Thermal Sensor customer tracking systems can be mounted as high as 27 feet. The sensors can either be mounted directly to a ceiling or to a wall using a bracket.

The detection pattern for our thermal customer counters can be modified to fit your entrance. Each thermal door counter sensor has a pair of lines that, when crossed by a pedestrian, will either result as an inbound or outbound count. The lines can be moved and curved independently of each other so you can make the detection pattern fit your environment.

The Traf-Sys Wireless Transmitter and Thermal People Counting Sensor require power at the entrance. So, an AC power outlet near the entrance is required for our thermal customer tracking systems.
