2. Is video or imagery stored?
Ask what information is retained and for how long.
3. Where is data processed?
Determine whether processing occurs locally on the device, within the facility, or in another environment.
4. What information does the organization actually receive?
Is the output an anonymous count, or does the system provide additional information about individual people?
5. Can the system provide the data we need without collecting unnecessary information?
This may be the most important question of all.
The best technology isn’t necessarily the system that collects the most information. It’s the system that provides the information you need to make better decisions.
Privacy and Better Data Don’t Have to Differ
